We tried Blue Orchid for the first time and it was delicious! We enjoyed everything, but the orange chicken, yellow curry, and the drunken noodles were to die for!
Perfect takeout spot for the nights you don't want to cook. Have tried currys, prik king, the mongolian dish, the pad thai and the spring rolls. All are good! I like spice a lot and will say level two is the most I can handle. I suggest if you do something spicy pair it with a curry with coconut milk to sooth it out. All around a good spot with solid food.
All the food we ordered was delicious. More people might be more inclined to dine if they offered mild (not hot/spicy) versions of their "spicy only" dishes. Pad Thai was delicious. Green Chicken Curry, Panang Chicken Curry, Som Tom (Green Papaya Salad) were all ordered with Spice Level 1. I enjoy spicy food but my wife & children do not. Enjoyed all the dishes however would recommend them allowing customers to order mild dishes as not everyone likes or can handle spicy food. Even the dishes were made mildly spicy they were too hot for my kids to eat.
Ambience is nice, Pretty colorful lit glass above main dining area. Nice calming music. OK, enough about that and onto what you really want to know about... The food quality... Delicious! Tonight I had the Green Curry after the rave review of a friend that recommended it. She has great taste! Love this dish! I usually get the Drunken noodles with Tofu & it's delicious but crazy spicy ... Green curry was a perfect balance of spice & taste... Yum! My new fave! I'm actually kind of worried because I might actually crave this Green Curry too much... Wahhhh The Arnold Palmers are made with lemonade and the same tea that's used for Thai iced tea. Another new favorite... Twice in one night?! The server, Jack, was pleasant and made sure the food was to our liking and filled our drinks. It got a little busy but he was able to get us more rice before the curry got cold. If you get additional rice, it costs more. $2.50 for the small. He offered a sincere smile & to-go cups for our drinks... Thanks Jack! We'll be back Also, this place goes on my Nice list for Tipping Recommendations being in line with service standards... Yayyy!
I hust tried this place a week ago, after having passed by it for many years. The food was incredible. The staff members were very friendly. The prices were very good. And the food was served hot and fresh. The menu has many choices, and I think 90% of the items on the menu were only $18 per order. I had the pad thai. The veggies were cooked to perfection. And the noodles were incredible So tasty in their tangy sauce. I also had steamed pot stickers. They were delicious. I'm definitely going back
